zsolt86 (Inactive)
While being hammered in the local cup semi-final by the leader team of the league(same draw every year) one thing crossed through my mind. A dozens of discussions are on the internet about people managing a top team and for some annoying reason they get hammered by relegation positioned teams. There are always answers pointing to tactics, complacency , the opposite being in a fighter mindset, etc. I'm just wondering, is there anyone who managed a relegation candidate team and hammered without any problem a top team.(by top team I mean the fist 3-4 on the league table)? zindrinho (Inactive)
it's much easier to be the underdog, the AI leaves big holes in his defence when attacking you. When you're (heavy) favorites they make life hell for you by just blocking every passage and destroying your game.
Poison (Inactive)
I have gotten the Middlesbrough job, got promoted to the EPL and managed to cause a few problems to the top clubs sometimes. I've stayed for 9 years and the club is now at European places rising from mid table anonymity. Mostly playing 4-2-3-1 with a cautious mentality. I never managed to beat Haaland's Manchester City though, I think I had something of 14 defeats or more maybe. Got a conference too winning against Dortmund which has fantastic players.
